Candidates willing to get admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate programmes must apply online on the official website of Annamalai University Chidambaram. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are GATE, CEETA, NEET, and others. Candidates must prepare well for the entrance exams. At the undergraduate level, Annamalai University Chidambaram offers BA, BTech, BSc, and various other programmes to students. At the postgraduate level, the university provides MCA, MBA, and various other programmes to students. Annamalai University Chidambaram also provides certificate, PhD, and several other courses to students. 

Annamalai University Chidambaram was established in 1929 as per Annamalai University Act 1928 and is accredited with A+ Grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). Annamalai University Annamalai Nagar is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and some of the courses are approved by MCI (Medical Council of India). Since the courses are approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), the degree is valid all over India. Currently, admissions are open for various courses for 2023. The Tamil Nadu-based Annamalai University has a Directorate of Distance Education (DDE) that provides a variety of distance education programmes as of my most recent update in September 2021. However, it's crucial to keep in mind that compared to traditional on-campus programmes, distance education programmes may generally have different facilities and support systems.

The DDE programme at Annamalai University is dedicated at helping students who are unable to attend regular classes on campus. • If you are an outsider, meaning not from Tamil Nadu, then first try to learn the language very well. If other way around, then try to learn English well (no offence).
• Don't take exams for granted. Don't take grades for granted.
• As everyone else said, maintain a 75% attendance else you'll get a recourse.
• Join the gym in mutthaiya nagar. Trainer/owner is a champion in bodybuilding. Joining a gym will give your life a discipline and of course an amazing physique.
• Make some good loyal genuine friends rather than getting into groups or gangs.
• If you are going to stay in university hostel, don't indulge into arguments with the hostel staff (if the need comes). Instead get help of a senior student or the wardens who are senior professors of the university so they'll help.
• And lastly, concentrate on studies first but keep all fun happening. You know what I mean. Booz, love affairs, bunking, etc. but remember your studies should be your first priority.
• You'll have good learning in AU.
