To be eligible for admission to the B.A. programme at Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Applied Arts and Crafts Akurdi, applicants must have successfully completed the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised Board with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates as per Maharashtra state government regulations) or equivalent grade. The college recognizes the CBSE 12th and Maharashtra HSC exams.

International applicants must ensure to meet the following criteria before applying to a full-time undergraduate programme at Northern College:
- Basic education
- Age (maturity)
- English proficiency
Let us understand each requirement separately:
1. Basic Education
- UG applicants: Grade 12 in a relevant discipline from a recognised board of education with English as a mandatory subject and an overall score of 50% aggregate
- PG applicants: A three or four-year Diploma or Bachelor degree in relevant discipline from a recognised institution
2. Age/Maturity
- 19-year old applicants or older may apply as mature students
- Post-secondary programs may require app
