No, it isnt.
However, NATA has a very high importance in the field of architecture. You can join colleges through JEE as well as NATA but NATA is given a special preference. I myself am an architecture student and have secured a college through JEE.
Since NATA paper has a huge weightage of drawing, abstract and aesthetic sensibility, it is given more importance than any other exams. On the other hand JEE has been producing brilliant architects for as long as 40 years now.
Both the exams have an equal importance in the field of arch. You can either appear for one of them or both. Appearing for both, however, will give you the upper hand.

Hello Sridevi,
Andhra University conducts its own entrance exam. Therefore, for admission into this college you have to give its entrance exam. You need PCM as mandatory subjects for admission into B.Tech. For further queries, you may see this website:

Your Predicted Rank is 42302 (JEE Main Percentile 95.16%, AIR, GEN).
Above is the possible rank you can get. The final rank will be based on the best of the scores of JEE-Mains January 2019 and April 2019 exam. The predicted rank may vary due to JEE Main tie breaker rules for same score. Based on this prediction:
State Institute of Urban Planning and Architecture, Rohtak, Haryana
Gateway College of Architecture and Design, Fazilpur, Sonepat, Haryana
Ganga institute of Architecture and Town Planning, Kablana, Delhi
