In the Assam HSLC exam, students are arranged in a very organized manner. As per the latest information available, seating arrangement is done on the basis of the roll number of students only. Candidates are seated in ascending order of their roll numbers, irrespective of school or gender, with the aim of ensuring a fair and organized seating arrangement. The seating capacity of each examination hall (excluding the last room) is a multiple of 10 (e.g., 20, 30, 40, etc.).

Marks in Assam HSLC exams are typically distributed based on the nature of the subject. For most theory-based subjects, 100 marks are allotted per subject. However, subjects like Science and IT have a theory-practical split, where the theory portion carries 70 marks, and practicals account for 30 marks. Students need to score a minimum of 30% in each subject to pass the examination, including passing in both theory and practicals separately where applicable.
