Candidates will have to complete the Assam PAT examination within the allotted duration. As per the official exam pattern, the duration of Assam PAT is 2 hours. Within the allotted duration, the candidates will have to attempt 100 objective multiple-choice questions. No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the examination. If the candidates are not able to complete the exam, then only the answered questions will be considered during the marking.

The official marking scheme will be released through the Assam PAT exam pattern. As per the Assam PAT marking scheme, the candidates will be allotted 1 mark for every correct answer. There will be no negative marking i.e., no marks will be deducted for incorrect answer. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to attempt and answer as many questions as they can within the allotted duration.

As per the Assam PAT exam pattern, the authorities will conduct the exam offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test. No other mode will be used to conduct the exam. Candidates will have to be present at the exam centre to attempt the examination. To answer the questions, the candidates will have to mark the correct option in the OMR sheet. For Assam PAT, the candidates will have to study units and topics from Mathematics and Science (Physics and Chemistry). The candidates will also be required to prepare some topics from English. It is to be noted that the level of the Assam PAT syllabus is similar to H.S.L.C level (10th standard) syllabus. The official syllabus has to be checked carefully so that the candidates can accordingly prepare for the entrance examination.

No. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam will not release the official Assam PAT syllabus online. The candidates will have to prepared for the entrance examination using the H.S.L.C level (10th standard) syllabus. The details regarding the official syllabus will be released by the authorities of the H.S.L.C. The syllabus will consist of topics from Mathematics and Science. The candidates are advised to become familiar with the official syllabus so that they can prepare well for the examination.

Candidates will have to upload scanned documents in the Assam PAT application form. While filling out the application form of Assam PAT, the candidates will have to scan and upload their passport-size photograph and signature. The documents should be uploaded as per the official specifications. If the documents are not uploaded as per the official specifications, then the application form will not be accepted.
