Assam Science and Technology University Courses

Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) offers a range of scholarship programs for undergraduate (UG) students, designed to support those with outstanding academic performance and financial need. Merit-based scholarships are available for students who perform well in entrance exams or show academic excellence during their studies. Additionally, government-sponsored scholarships, such as the National Merit Scholarship, Post-Matric Scholarships for SC/ST/OBC students, and state-specific schemes, are available for eligible candidates. ASTU also provides institutional scholarships, which may be awarded to students facing financial challenges or those excelling in specific academic areas. The fee system is different for various courses and programs within Assam Science and Technology University. For undergraduate courses like B.Tech, the fee is around INR 4.98 Lacs per 4-year program.

This can be the same for certain branches like mechanical and electrical engineering, though a branch like mechanical engineering might have a lesser fee of INR 55.60 K. For postgraduate programs like M.Tech, the fees are variable- most of the courses such as M.Sc. in Computer Science have a fee of about INR 1 Lacs for 2 years.

There is also an applicable fee structure for courses like M.Pharm or MCA as per their specialization. Some Diploma courses are relatively lower in costs which include pharmacy courses compared to the degree equivalent. Scholarships are also available in the university for eligible students and help reduce the financial burden.
