B.A LLB Entrance Exam

The exam will be conducted in the offline mode.
The medium of Exam will be English.
Duration of the Entrance Exam is 2 and a half hours.
The question paper will contain objective type questions for 100 marks.
There will be no negative marking.
Calcutta University BA LLB Exam Pattern 2018: Subjects.
The questions will be asked from the following subjects.
General English.
General Awareness / Current Affairs.
General Math.
Test of Reasoning (Verbal & Non-verbal).
Calcutta University BA LLB Exam Pattern 2018 -The University of Calcutta will release the Exam Pattern of Calcutta University BA LLB 2018. Candidates who wish to seek admission to the Law Colleges affiliated to the University of Calcutta can go through the Calcutta University BA LLB 2018 Exam Pattern before the exam. Calcutta University BA LLB 2018 will be conducted in the last week of June 2018. The application form of Calcutta University BA LLB 2018 will be available from the first week of June. Candidates can fill up and submit the application form along with the application fee until the Third week of June 2018. The University of Calcutta conducts Calcutta University BA LLB for the admission to the five-year integrated BA LLB programme offered in 12 Law Colleges affiliated to the university.

Delhi University conducts DU LLB Entrance Exam in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in LLB programmes offered by it. The syllabus for DU LLB Entrance Exam is:
1) English Language and Comprehension
2) General Knowledge and Current Affairs
3) Reasoning and Analytical Abilities
4) Arithmetic
5) Legal Awareness and Aptitude
For English you can refer - RS Aggarwal, Word power made easy (by Norman Lewis) and practice RCs from previous papers
For arithmetic you can refer - RS Aggarwal and M. Tyra.
For Reasoning you can refer RS Aggarwal or any other reasoning book will do. For static GK - Lucent and for current read newspaper and any monthly magazine give more emphasis on legal current affairs.
For Legal GK and reasoning you can refer Andhra Pradesh Bhardwaj.

If you wish to become a lawyer and be able to practice in the court of Law, you will have to complete the 3 year LLB program for which the eligibility is a graduation in any stream.
Different law Universities and colleges conduct different law entrance exams, to admit students to their courses, like NET (National Entrance Test), CLAT (Common Law Admission Test), Department of Law University of Delhi take admission through a common Entrance Test for all the three Law Centres (Campus Law Centre, Law Centre-I and Law Centre-II).
To be eligible for taking CLAT, a candidate should have passed Higher Secondary School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

Total number of multiple choice questions 200
Duration of the exam 2 hrs
Subject areas:
English including comprehension 40 marks
General Knowledge/ Current Affairs 50 marks
Elementary Mathematics 20 marks
Legal Aptitude 50 marks
Logical Reasoning 40 marks
Things to Remember:
1. Most of the questions in Mathematics are of the elementary level (till Class 10)
2.The questions on legal, GK and aptitude are the toughest. In GK and Current Affairs test, students are checked on their knowledge of current affairs.
3.The reasoning section is for analyzing the candidates ability to identify patterns, logical links, etc.
4.The English Comprehension includes passages and grammar, meanings of words used therein, incorrect grammatical sentences, filling in of blanks, etc.
5.In the Logical Reasoning section- identifying patterns, illogical arguments, syllogisms, sequences, analogies, etc are included.
