The authorities commenced the TNEA 2023 counselling online mode at the official website. Candidates have to participate in the counselling process of TNEA 2023 as per the schedule released by the authorities. The authorities group the shortlisted candidates according to their ranks. Step 3 - Filling choices - After payment of the TNEA 2023 counselling fee, candidates will have to log in to the TNEA portal using their user Id and password (Same that used at the time of registration). Upon successful login, candidates will have to choose their preferred choices of institutes and courses.

Step 4 - Locking of choices - The next step is locking of the selected choices. Candidates will have to finally lock the entered choices on the third day after the commencement of the round. No modification will be allowed after locking. Once the choices are locked, a PDF document containing the list of choices locked by the candidates will be sent to their registered email with the generated integrity code. The integrity code is to prevent any further modification to the applicant’s choice list that has been submitted. If a candidate fails to lock his/her choices within the stipulated time, the system will automatically lock the choices.

Step 5 - Tentative allotment - The system allots the tentative seats to the candidates as per the choices filled by them. Candidates will be able to check the tentative TNEA seat allotment by logging into their accounts.

Step 6 - Submission of allotment offer- After the seat allotment of TNEA 2023, the candidates will have the option to confirm, decline or reject the offer.

If a candidate is allotted a seat, he/she has the following options-

• Accept the offer.

• Confirm the offer with upward movement.

• The upward movement here means that the candidate wishes to change his allotted seat and participate in further rounds of counselling.

• Decline the offer and opt for upward movement.

• Quit TNEA Counselling.
