Top Colleges in Delhi NCR for BA (Hons) Psychology

1. Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR), Delhi

 One of the most reputed colleges in India for BA Psychology (Hons). 

 Approx 1st year fees: ~₹23,940 (only tuition; total costs vary). 

 Admissions are through CUET UG + DU CSAS process (usually from March–June 2026 for the 2026–29 batch). 

Scholarships: Merit and need‑based scholarships like KPMG Scholarship, Ward Welfare, G.L. Bansal Scholarship, etc. (vary by year).

2. Jesus and Mary College (JMC), Delhi

 Another top DU college with a strong BA Psychology program. 

 Approx 1st year fees: ~₹27,680. 

 Admission via CUET + CSAS same as DU colleges.

Scholarships: Various merit and merit‑cum‑means awards, including psychology‑specific scholarships like Dr. Safia Ahmad Memorial Scholarship. 

3. Indraprastha College for Women (IPCW), Delhi

Lakshmibai College, Mata Sundri College, Shaheed Rajguru College also offer BA Psychology.

Private universities in NCR (e.g., Amity, Christ, Sharda, Galgotias) also have psychology programs, generally with higher fees (₹1.5–₹13+ lakh).

Application Timeline (2026 Intake)

DU & CUET Process

CUET UG 2026 registration: Expected March 2026 (tentative). 

Exam window: Usually in May–June 2026. 

 After CUET, candidates fill their common preferences on DU's CSAS portal — usually in June–July 2026. 

 Cut‑offs and seat allocation rounds follow from July–August onward.

In my opinion, CUET is the best exam option that you can go for. It's a national-level exam that is accepted by thousands of top colleges in India. So, you'll have plenty of great college options if you score well in the CUET. 

Also,  you'll get a chance to choose from a list of subjects in the CUET, so in case you change your mind in the meantime, you can also go for another course with your scores. 

CUET's syllabus is mainly based on the Class 11 and 12 NCERT syllabus, so you don't even need to prepare from any other additional resources.
