Eligibility for BA is Class 12 from any recognised board. Students from any stream are eligible to apply. The selections in the course are based on Class 12 merit scores. Students can apply for admissions through the official college website.

At TISS Mumbai, the Guwahati campus offers more BA seats in academic year 2026. Out of the 90 total seats, Guwahati campus offer 50 seats for admissions. Candidates also have a different seat reservation policy than other campuses at Guwahati campus of Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences BA seat reservations are offered in different percentages of seats from total intake which are as follows:

  • SC = 15%
  • ST =7.5%
  • OBC = 27.5%
  • EwS = 10% from all categories

At Guwahati campus, candidates from seven north east states of India are offered 66% of total seats of BA course.

There is no mention of a refund policy for BA admissions at Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Thus, candidates should ask admission desk of this institute to confirm existance of a refund policy for BA fees. Generally, institutes are offered refunds based on UGC norms.

BA fees at Tata Institute of Social Sciences is INR 96,000 - INR 1,80,000 for academic year 2026. Candidates are charged this fees on per semester basis in eight installments. Each installment will have a separate fees from each other.

For the General AI category, the round 2 cutoff ranged from 35 to 83.83, wherein B.Sc. in Information Technology and B.Com. In Certified Management Accounting, were the least and most preferred courses for admission.
