Both IGNOU and VMOU are popular among the students. However, Indira Gandhi National Open University is nationally preferred by the students. It is run by the Central Government of India. It has also been accredited by the NAAC with Grade 'A+'. The eligiblity criteria for BA admission at both the universities is Class 12 pass. Further, the BA course fee is mentioned in the following table at these universities:

Candidates can opt for either of the open university based on its ranking, fee, placements, etc. Both the open universities are popular among the students. The minimum eligibility criteria for BA at IGNOU and YCMOU is Class 12 or equivalent examination pass. In addition, IGNOU BA/BA (H) fee ranges between INR 9,600 and INR 31,800 and the BA fees at YCMOU is INR 11,100.

Aspirants can go to the IGNOU website and click on the valid link (fresh admission/re-registration) to apply. For the fresh admission, students need to upload important documents as well. Yes, IGNOU offers Bachelor of Arts (BA) course of three-year duration. Admission to the UG-level course is subject to fulfiment of the eligibility requirements. Apart from this, the open university also offers four-year BA (Hons) programmes across different specialisations.
