GITAM BA course admission is based on scores in the GAT exam. However, to apply and appear for GAT, students are required to fulfill certain eligibility requirements. For all BA specialisations except Economics, candidates with a minimum of 50% Class 12 from any stream are eligible to apply. However, for BA in Economics, the candidate must have 50% in Class 12 in any discipline with Mathematics as a mandatory subject in Class 12.

GITAM University accepts the GAT exam for its BA admissions. It is conducted by Gandhian Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University. The test consists of three sections and all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks. The wrong answer and unanswered questions will receive nil marks. Tabulated below is the GAT exam pattern:

The above-mentioned is to be paid in three installments, one for each year. Moreover, the complete fee structure for BA at GITAM may include other components such as admission fees, hostel fees, etc.

Whether the general test is compulsory for BA Political Science depends on the specific university or college you're applying to. You can go and check out the official website of the university or college you're interested in. Look for the admissions section and specifically for information about BA Political Science programme requirements. 

For instance, for Delhi University, the general test is not mandatory for BA Political Science (Hons.) at some colleges.
