BCom graduates from Mumbai have a very wide range of career options available to them. One of the most popular paths is pursuing CA (Chartered Accountancy) through the ICAI, which when combined with a BCom degree gives students a very powerful and high-earning qualification. Other professional courses like CMA (Cost and Management Accountancy) and CS (Company Secretary) are also popular choices.

In most of the Bcom colleges affiliated with the University of Mumbai in Mumbai, entrance exam is not conducted. Admission is based solely on Class 12 marks. The merit list is made on the basis of HSC percentage and the available seats are allotted accordingly. However, there are some cases with autonomous and deemed universities in Mumbai where entrance test and personal interview are conducted.

No, MHT-CET is primarily for Engineering and Pharmacy courses in Maharashtra, it is not used for BCom admissions.
For BCom admissions in Mumbai colleges, students from other states can apply through:
- CUET - most widely accepted for BCom across India
- NMIMS NPAT - for NMIMS specifically
- Merit-based (Class 12 marks) - most Mumbai colleges accept direct applications based on 12th percentage, regardless of the student's home state
