It is not necessary to join B.Com. You can pursue CA being a science graduate as well. You just have to get a minimum required percentage in your graduation to be eligible.
It will just be a tad difficult for you than other aspirants since they have already studied in the same field, but not impossible.

Hi Omkar, you have to wait for the merit-lists to be announced, cut-offs for B.Com Hons generally goes above 80%. For percentiles with 50% applicants can apply to SOLs.

maths is not compulsory subject for B.Com.

After polytechnic, that means diploma in engineering, if you want to do further study then there are various options for you. first of all you may go for graduation in engineering B.Tech or B.E. in B.Tech you may take admission through lateral entry. in this case you will get chance to take admission directly in second year B.Tech. but in IITs there are no lateral entry seat. in other way you may appear in engineering entrance examination like a 12th pass candidates. after clearing the engineering entrance examination according to your rank through counseling you will get chance to select your college for graduation in engineering. so

B.Com(h) entrance test at St. Xavier's College, Ranchi is easy !
you will find multiple choice based questions from accountancy, business studies , economics , mathematics ( 10th level and just 1-2 questions asking you certains formulaes from integration or differentiation ) and on general awareness! questions are simple and aren't very tricky or confusing. basic knowledge of the subjects wold be sufficient.
