The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai has not released the salary package for the year 2024.  Altough, the the highest package offered for BDes Fashion Design was INR 6 LPA during the recent placement drive. NIFT Chennai students were offered various roles such as Associate Designer, Assistant Designer, Fashion Stylist and many more. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Kolkata has a 100% placement record for almost every year. The average package is between INR 71,000 to INR 3.6 Lacs per annum. The median salary starts from 4 lacs, and there have been instances where students have been offered the highest salary of INR 16 lacs.

Nift has a centralised placement process. Companies can opt for on-campus placements by registering for Nift Patna placements or companies can offer jobs to students before the on-campus placements, this is known as pre-placements offer (PPO). Nift Patna offers a good package in B.Tech.  Its placement rate is 75-80% of students got placed. the highest package offered was INR 4.5 LPA.
