It is not accredited by the ICAR. Consider universities and colleges that are accredited by the ICAR. Because it will be beneficial for your future and higher education. Chandigarh University is succeeding well with all types of academics, despite SRM being a good college. Students are very interested in pursuing a B. S. in agriculture. It is taught at various private universities. It's great if you get the chance to study at CU.

Last year, the ICAR cutoff was 430 for B.Sc Agriculture Hons. at College of Agriculture, Hassan, and the cutoff rank was 680.

It depends on where you want to take admissions, If you want to opt for Central Universities like IARI or Central Agricultural Universities or any SAUs then you have to sit and clear ICAR UG Entrance exam that take place each year, and to sit for that exam you have to score atleast 50% is class 12th for general category student and 40% for reserved category. If you want to study in any Private university then you can easily opt bjut they usually charge for a hefty amount of donations for admissions.

First of all the Agriculture course is based on practical knowledge. If you are thinking that you will gain knowledge in these 4 years, then you are highly mistaken. Because Bookish knowledge will never help you once you start working in the field. Indian agriculture education system is still teaching some rough techniques which are not been practiced in the field because most of the chemicals are banned in the field.
