In DU, admissions are done on the basis of Best Four Subjects' Marks or BFS Marks. BFS is calculated by choosing best three marks of your subjects of 10+2 and including English/Hindi.

Now, admission in Maths (H) in DU depends upon your category and the college you wish to go for. The following are minimum required Best four Subject Marks Percentage required to take clear cutoff, the lowest observed.
North Campus Colleges:
General: 94%
OBC: 92.5%
SC: 88%
ST: 85%
South campus Colleges:
General: 90%
OBC: 86.5%
SC: 84%
ST: 82%

Yes, one can join Sarala Birla University for BSc (Hons) in Mathematics without JEE. The university does accept the scores of various national and state-level Engineering entrance exams for admitting students to its BSc (Hons) in Mathematics. However, having a JEE score is not mandatory. One can apply with a valid score in any other National/State-level engineering entrance exam. Alternatively, candidates can also appear for the entrance test conducted by the university.

Sarala Birla University BSc (Hons) in Mathematics eligibility criteria are listed below:

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subjects
  • Candidates must have obtained at least 45%  in the above subjects taken together
  • A relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks is given to candidates belonging to the reserved categories
  • Students awaiting the declaration of their Class 12 results can also apply. However, they have to submit the relevant documents at the time of admission.
