Each year, 40,000 students graduate with biotechnology from more than 302 Biotechnology colleges in India. Aspirants need to qualify the 10+2 level from any recognised board of education with Physics Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects to be eligible for B.Sc. Biotechnology.

The biotechnology subject primarily deals with the research and applied aspects of biological processes. In respect to research in biotechnology, the B.Sc. In biotechnology will be a better option. However, if you want to work in an industrial process-related field, you can pursue a B.Tech in biotechnology.
1. The B.Tech in biotechnology covers both Science as well as engineering subjects like genetics, bioprocess engineering, biochemical engineering, etc.

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized school/board.
(10+2) or High School Senior Secondary exam by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any equivalent exam conducted by any State Board or Equivalent. However you need to note that states have their state examination for nursing that will help you get admission in government colleges. You can get admission in government colleges on 12th basis, NEET basis or nursing entrance basis as well.
