Hi, there are 20+ best BSc in Microbiology colleges in Kolkata, of which 10+ colleges are owned privately and 4 colleges are owned by the government. Calcutta University Entrance Exam is the top entrance exam for admission to best colleges for BSc in Microbiology in Kolkata. Hi, yes you can definitely pursue BSc in Biotechnology without any entrance exam as most of the colleges accept students on merit basis. You can also pursue BSc in Biotechnology by appearing for entrance exams like TS EAMCET, CUET, SAT India, etc.

For the B.Sc. Biotechnology programme at Jamia Millia Islamia through CUET UG 2025, you should choose Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biological Studies/Biotechnology/Biochemistry. Additionally, you will need to select one language from the list provided by CUET.

Most B.Sc Nursing programs in India require you to have studied Biology in 12th. Since you are a Maths student and didn't have Biology, you're generally not eligible for B.Sc Nursing.
Even if you give an entrance exam, they usually test your knowledge in Biology, so it becomes difficult without that background.
If you really want to go for nursing, some states or private colleges might have options for students without Biology, but these are very rare. I'll suggest you to double-check with the specific college or entrance exam details before applying. Best of luck!
