Entry to the BSc programme at IMU Kochi is entrance-exam-based and held via the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMUCET). Application for IMUCET, subsequent to fulfilling the eligibility criteria, must be registered and attended by candidates. Seats are allocated to passing candidates on the basis of the rank secured through a centralized counselling scheme. Final admission is realized on payment of fees and proof of documents.

For being a part of the BSc programme at IMU Kochi, candidates should have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. Candidates should also have done Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the senior secondary level. Candidates are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria before enrolling in IMUCET. Only candidates who meet these requirements can go for the entrance exam and admissions process.
