The focused approach of the university towards persistent and multidimensional training of students in-line with the industry expectations and establishment of industry sponsored labs for hands-on-learning has led to a sharp increase in the number of placement offers and record salary packages.

Unlike most institutions CU does not restrict its students to one or two companies, our students have grabbed multiple offers, the highest number being 8 companies. Apart from core companies’ students are also allowed to sit in interdisciplinary branch selection process.

To get the admission to B.Sc programs, candidates must have at least 80 to 85 percentile in the NCHMCT JEE for selection into top institutes. The selection process involves an entrance exam, where candidates need to pass their Class 12th Science stream with 50% marks or 45% marks for SC/ST candidates. The selection is based on the marks obtained in the NCHMCT JEE. The NCHMCT JEE cutoff marks are determined by the exams difficulty level and may change each year based on candidates performance and evaluation. 

The minimum cutoff for B.Sc. at Central University of Kashmir varies depending on the course and category of the candidate. Here are some examples:
For the integrated B.Sc. + M.Sc. in Biotechnology, a minimum score of 11.68 is required in CUET for general category students.
For Mathematics, the minimum cutoff score for the general category is 32.5 in CUCET.
For the B.Sc. program, the eligibility criteria require the candidate to have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
