IIT Roorkee offers one of the top BSc courses in India. BSc in Mathematics and Computing has the maximum seat intake amongst all other BSc courses offered at IIT Roorkee. IIT Roorkee offers three different scholarships to its BSc students. Each scholarship is aimed at providing financial aid to deserving and meritorious students of the college. Listed below are the available scholarships along with the eligibility criteria:

1. MCM Scholarship 

  • Applicant belongs to General or General (EWS) or OBC category.
  • Gross Income of parents (Father and Mother or Guardian) during the current assessment year is not more than INR 5,00,000
  • Should have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate or a grade corresponding to 60% marks in the qualifying examination for JEE Advanced

IIT Roorkee BSc curriculum differs for each specialisation. However, some common topics taught in the first year of each specialisation are Mathematics, Indian Knowledge System, Physics Lab, Computer Programming, Engg. Analysis and design (design thinking based project)/Industry Oriented Problem and more.

Hey,

First of all , I would like to clarify that BITS does not offer B.Sc degress, you can go for M.Sc. directly at BITS. Its called dual degree programme where you will have a M.Sc (in any one: Maths, Bio, Physics, Chemistry, Economics) and a BE degree. If you get admission with a M.Sc degree, then after your first year, based on your CGPA, you will be allotted a BE degree. However, you can drop your BE degree if you want to pursue a M.Sc.

 

The fee for a M.Sc. programme is the same as for a for a BE. You can refer to BITS official website for fee structure, as BITS revise its fee every year. You have to appear for BITSAT, and then

The highest amount of scholarship is offered under the MCM scholarship. In this scholarship IIT Roorkee offers various benefits. A student availing MCM scholarship will get INR 1,000 per month for 10 months per academic year and refund of the remaining tuition fee.
