B.Sc.

IIT Roorkee offers three different scholarships to its BSc students. Each scholarship is aimed at providing financial aid to deserving and meritorious students of the college. Listed below are the available scholarships along with the eligibility criteria:

1. MCM Scholarship 

• Applicant belongs to General or General (EWS) or OBC category.
• Gross Income of parents (Father and Mother or Guardian) during the current assessment year is not more than INR 5,00,000
• Should have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate or a grade corresponding to 60% marks in the qualifying examination for JEE Advanced

2. Inspire She Scholarship 

• Applicant is a student of Integrated MSc programmes from Department of Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics
• Gross Income of parents (Father and Mother or - Guardian) during the current assessment year is not more than INR 5,00,000

3. James Thomason Scholarship

Applicant must have secured All India Rank (AIR) in recent JEE (Advanced) up to 250

The IIT Roorkee campus has a plethora of extracurricular activities to choose from including sports, debate, music, drama, stand-up, social welfare and many more. The curriculum of BSc courses at IIT Roorkee is designed to provide a lot of Industry exposure to students. 

Every year, the institute organises two major college fests Thomso (Cultural Fest in October) and Cognizance (Technical Fest in March). These fests help students to relax and rejuvenate. First of all , I would like to clarify that BITS does not offer B.Sc degress, you can go for M.Sc. directly at BITS. Its called dual degree programme where you will have a M.Sc (in any one: Maths, Bio, Physics, Chemistry, Economics) and a BE degree. If you get admission with a M.Sc degree, then after your first year, based on your CGPA, you will be allotted a BE degree. However, you can drop your BE degree if you want to pursue a M.Sc.

The fee for a M.Sc. programme is the same as for a for a BE. You can refer to BITS official website for fee structure, as BITS revise its fee every year. You have to appear for BITSAT, and then you can go for M.Sc based on the cutoff.

Also at BITS, you will have chance to pursue two internships which we call as PS-1 and PS-2 (Practice School). After your second year which is 4th Sem, you will have your first internship which will be of 2months and after your third year you will have a 6months internship which carries credits that you have to complete.

  - Grade sheets of both the semesters the previous academic year (2020-21)

- Common Rank List (CRL)

• To apply for fresher of INSPIRE Scholarship (SHE)

- Class X Mark Sheet

- Class XII Mark Sheets, Bonafide student of Institution,

- Score Card of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-2022
