IIT Roorkee concluded its Phase-2 placements in the month of April. However, BSc courses specific data is not available. In terms of overall UG placements, IIT Roorkee was able to provide good placements to its students. According to media reports, 23 international and in total 802 offers were grabbed during Phase-1 placements. Databricks offered a salary package of INR 2.05 crore per annum to a student during the first phase of IIT Roorkee placements 2023-24. Further, a total of 172 companies visited the campus. Once the JEE Advanced results are out, students must register for JoSAA counselling. It is a centralized counselling process for admissions to premier Indian institutions including IIT Roorkee. The steps to log into JoSAA counselling account is as follows:
VIsit the official website of JoSAA select “JoSAA Candidate Registration and Choice Filling”
After that, log in to your candidature acocunt by filling in the JEE (Main) or JEE (Advanced) application number and password
Ensure that all the personal information displayed on your profile is accurate

Once all the seats have been allocated via JoSAA counseling, students would be required to report at the allocated institute for verification of documents. These documents include:
- JEE (Advanced) – Seat allotment letter / Offer letter of JEE Advanced (issued by the organizing Chairman JEE Advanced)
- Mark sheets & Certificates of 10 and 12 Classes or its equivalent
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Transfer/Migration and Character Certificate (original)
- Undertaking by the parent/guardian and student for continuation of study at IIT Roorkee
- Health Certificate

In order to get into BSc at IIT Roorkee candidate must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 75%. Further, the candidate is required to qualify JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. IIT Roorkee admits students based on merit in JEE Main+JEE Advanced. Once the JEE Advanced results are out, students must register at the JoSAA counselling portal. Further counselling and seat allocation is done through this particular portal.

So in order to apply for IIT Roorkee BSc courses students must register for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. Students who have qualified the JEE Main are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced. IIT Roorkee has a total of 211 seats reserved for its BSc admissions. These seats are spread across various specialisations offered under the college’s BSc programme. Amongst all the specialisations, the highest number of seats have been reserved for admissions to BSc + MSc in Mathematics and Computing. IIT Roorkee Candidates who have qualified JEE Main are eligible to apply for the said exam. The last date to register for JEE Advanced is in May. The deadline to pay the registration fees is in May. The exam is scheduled on May and the admit cards for the same will be available from May.
