Jai Hind College offers a three-year BSc programme in general mode as well as in two different specialisations, namely BSc Biotechnology and, BSc Information Technology. Jai Hind College BSc admission is based on merit. The cutoff for BSc programme is based on candidates’ performance in Class 12/ HSC or equivalent exams.

Candidates seeking admission to the BSc programme in general mode as well as in different specialisations are required to meet the Jai Hind College BSc eligibility as mentioned below:

Specialisation

Eligibility Criteria

BSc (General)

Class 12 examination or its equivalent from any Board with at least three Science subjects.

BSc in Information Technology

Class 12 examination or its equivalent with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subjects and should have secured not less than 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category candidates).

OR

Three years Diploma in IT/ Computer Technology/ Computer Engineering/ CS/ Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering and Allied Branches/ Mechanical and Allied Branches/ Civil and Allied branches are eligible for direct admission to the second year. A minimum of 45% aggregate is required (40% aggregate for reserved category candidates).

OR

Post HSC-Diploma in IT/Computer Technology/ Computer Engineering/ CS/ and Allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the second year. A minimum of 45% aggregate is required (40% aggregate for reserved category candidates).

BSc in Biotechnology

Admission will be based on merit according to order of preference as follows:

  • Aggregate at HSC or equivalent
  • Aggregate in Science group (Physics, Chemistry and, Biology)
  • Aggregate in Biology and, Chemistry. Marks in Biology
  • Candidates who have not studied Mathematics and Statistics as one of the Subjects in Class 12 shall have to satisfactorily complete a Bridge course on Mathematics and Statistics during the first year.

The total seat intake for the BSc programme across various specialisations offered at Jai Hind College is 335. Jai Hind College BSc seat reservation for the minority quota is as per Government norms. Reservation will also be there under the special category for Physically Challenged/ Sports/ Cultural/ Ex-Servicemen/ Defense quota category candidates.

Candidates are required to remain present in person at the time of admission and submit the following documents during Jai Hind College BSc application process in original and photocopies:

  • Class 10 marksheet and passing certificate
  • Class 12 marksheet and leaving certificate
  • Three recent photographs
  • Aadhar card
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Photocopy of ration card/ telephone bill/ electricity bill as proof of residence

In case of BSc admission cancellation, Vedatya University follows the fee refund policy as given below:

  • The registration fee is refundable only if the candidate fails to meet the 50% marks requirement (in best 4 subjects) in Class 12. It will not be refunded under any other circumstances
  • In case a student fails to join the programme or withdraws from the programme after the course has started, then only the refundable security deposit will be refunded.
