Yes, you can get admission to B.Tech CSE at Banasthali Vidyapith with 77.2% in UP Board, but admission depends on:
1. Banasthali B.Tech CSE Eligibility Criteria
-Minimum 60% aggregate in Class 12 (PCM) for general category (50% for SC/ST).
- Your 77.2% in UP Board (PCM) meets the requirement.
No JEE Main requirement (admission is based on Banasthali's own entrance test or merit).

To get B.Tech CSE at UPES Dehradun, you typically need at least 60% marks in both Class 10 and 12, with 60% or more in PCM. If applying through JEE Main, a percentile above 80–85 is generally safe for CSE. For board merit admission, higher marks in PCM (above 70%) improve your chances. Alternatively, you can appear for the UPES entrance test (UPESEAT), where a score around 550–600 out of 800 is usually needed for CSE.

With a 40-50 percentile in JEE Mains, securing a B.Tech CSE seat in top-tier government colleges, including NITs or central universities, will be extremely challenging due to high competition. However, this doesn't mean your engineering dreams are out of reach! You can certainly explore a range of private engineering colleges, especially those in less competitive regions or newer institutions, where admission is often possible at this percentile. Many private universities also offer direct admission based on 12th-grade marks or their own internal entrance exams, providing viable pathways to a B.Tech CSE degree.
