Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University was formerly known as Marathwada University. The University is UGC approved. It is accredited with Grade ‘A’ by theNAAC. The university has 428 affiliated colleges. All the affiliating colleges are situated in four districts of Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, and Osmanabad in the Maharashtra State. BAMU Aurangabad ranks 151 in the 'University' category in NIRF 2023 Ranking. It is ranked 48 by The Week 2023. BAMU has signed MoUs with international universities such as University of Sannio Italy and Southern Federal University Russia to strengthen its academic.
BAMU Aurangabad was established in 1958. It is a state-level public university. The University has more than 55 departments that including more than 200 courses at UG, PG, and PhD levels.
