I have got 52 marks in JEE Mains under SC category. Can I get admission in any NIT?

Hello Lalu,
For SC category, this is not a bad score. But I am not sure that you can get a good college with this score. So, you may try in the counselling round.
All the best.

Hello Yukesh,
The admission is based on the cut-off marks which vary based on your category like BC, OC, etc. For OC, you need to have a great cut-off of 198 marks and above and it gradually decreases for other categories.
For CSE, the cut-off is usually higher.

Hello Sourabh,
As you belong to general category, it is difficult to get a good college with just 74 marks. So, you may try to get admission via any other entrance exams or your board exam marks.
All the best!

See, college can only provide you a platform now it's up to you that how you perform on the platform and what you learn from there. There are many non- IITian students who are better placed then some of the IITians. So, it's up to you that what you learn and implement it.

Well, it varies every year, as said in the previous answers, it was good in the year 2011, 2012, 2013 but, 2014 was the worst. Again, 2015 and 2016 batch got around 80%-85% placement. I belong to the 32nd batch (2017). In our batch, placement ratio again fell down. Till now, it is only around 50%. T
