B.Tech is a more comprehensive course and includes lot of subjects + lots of practical and has a subset from the BCA course syllabus too. BCA helps to build programming skills for developing software/website/cloud/mobile applications. English and Mathematics being compulsory subjects in previous study. BCA is for 3 years and B.Tech for 4 years. For both these courses, job opportunities are plenty in the IT sector. However, scope wise B.Tech graduates could have relatively more flexibility in the positions and also the pay. BCA is a great platform for higher studies such as MCA.
