Jafar, there is good scope for aspirants who have completed their Bachelor' degree in Commerce, both in terms of higher education as well as for immediate jobs. On successful completion of B Com, aspirants can apply for jobs relating business and finance. Professionals can apply for employment in finance sector like banking, company secretary ship, chartered accountancy, Cost and works accountancy jobs. They can also apply for non-finance sector jobs in mass communication, law, hotel management, civil services, and so on.
These days, we have courses like B.Com (H), B.Com (Professional, B.Com-M.Com, B.Com-MBA etc.
There are many good universities that are offering good placements to students with good private sector banks like ICICI, AXIS, HDFC etc.
Some universities these days offer scholarships to meritorious students.

Bank PO exam:
Probationary officer is the entry level position in the officer cadre in banking industry. PO's have a good career path in banks. The eligibility criteria to take Bank exams:
Nationality: India
1. Public/ Regional Rural Sector Banks:
PO - A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Clerical - A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
2. SBI and SBI Associate Banks:
PO - A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Clerical - Minimum 12th Standard (10 + 2) or equivalent qualification thereof with a minimum of 60% marks.
There are some relaxation for some reserved category as well.
Age limit:
A. Public Sector Banks:
PO - 20 to 30 years
Clerical - 20 to 28 years
B. Regional Rural Banks :
For Officer Scale- III - Below 40 years
For Officer Scale- II- Above 21 years and below 32 years
For Officer Scale- I - Above 18 years and below 28 years
For Office Assistant -Between 18 years and 28 years
C. SBI and SBI Associate Banks:
PO -21 to 30 years
Clerical - 18 to 28 years
Computer Literacy:
Some banks insist that the candidate should posses working knowledge of computers before joining the bank.
