*Brokers and all stock market traders have to be certified. The certifying authority is the National Stock exchange which conducts online tests called NSE Certification in Financial Markets(NCFM). Preparation can be made with assistance from accredited test centers. The NCFM test is an online certification that evaluates the financial understanding of an individual. There are accredited institutes which serve as test centers and also provide classroom coaching for the NCFM certification test.
For pursuing a career in stock broking individual must:Have a bachelor's degree in Com/ Eco/ Finance. After that take Professional Certification like NCFM. After that do postgraduation in Stock Market/ Eco/ Finance (Optional) and than take membership in stock exchange.

1. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS): IBPS conducts four crucial Common Written Examinations for recruitment at various levels. These are:
- CWE for Probationary Officers (PO)/Management Trainee (MT)
- CWE for Specialist Officers
- CWE for Clerical Cadre
- CWE - Regional Rural Banks
About 19 participating public sector banks recruit their POs/MTs through this exam.
