As per my research, there is no entrance exam for admission to BCA programme at NIELIT and students can definitely take a direct admission at National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Itanagar. The institute offers BCA, Certificate and Advanced Diploma courses in various specialisations. Candidates can directly apply on the official website of the institute for enquiry regarding admission. 

The applicant should have passed Class 12 (second PUC of the Karnataka state or its equivalent) as recognised by Bangalore North University to apply for the BCA course. The New Horizon College, Marathahalli has set a minimum percentage requirement in class 12 that candidates must attain.
