To study master's in the UK, students must have a relevant work experience in their field of expertise. Therefore, After completing the BDS degree from the top Dental College in India, students should have at least 2 years clinical experience of working as a dentist before applying for a postgraduate degree course.

In the undergraduate BDS programme, Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital trains approximately 100 students annually. The five-year BDS programme consists of four years of coursework and one year of internship. The course will last for five year. The National Testing Agency (NTA) administers the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) as part of the admissions process.H. S. C. or any other test that is equal to the 10+2 HSC exam from any recognised Board/University after 12 years of study is the entry requirement.40% for the reserved category and 50% for the general category in PCB. 100 seats are available for intake.
