Getting into Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, BCET is relatively tough, especially for more sought-after branches like Computer Science and Engineering. Admission would strictly depend on entrance exam marks that would be JEE Main or WBJEE marks. The cutoffs determine who gets eligible. Most people get a seat if their rankings are higher. BCET provides direct admission on merit to those who do not appear for entrance examinations. The number of seats available under this category is limited. So, it again depends upon the course or programme and seat availability

The Bengali College of Engineering and Technology offers different scholarships, however, does not offer 100% scholarships to all students. Scholarships are typically merit-based, entrance scores (such as WBJEE or JEE Main), and financial need-based. Partial scholarships may also be available for some students. BCET also offers fee concessions to the deserving students and offers scholarships under various government schemes.
