Hotel Management is one of the evergreen fields. The scope is good and plenty of lucrative careers are available from Hotel & Restaurant management, Airline Catering Services, Ship Cruises, Guesthouses etc. You can earn a handsome salary but don't expect it at the entry level. Your salary will depend on the department, previous work experience, location etc. Various departments are there from Housekeeping to General Operations, your work and salary will vary accordingly. A profile like a hotel manager, restaurant manager and food and beverage director is very attractive.

MD is Masters Degree Level.
Ph.D is Doctoral Degree Level.
It is best to finish both.
However, you should watch ICMR Website for announcement of Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) - Rs. 16000/- per month, & Senior Research Fellowship(SRF) - Rs. 24,000/- per month approx, for your PG and Ph.D. studies respectively. Also you must not forget to tick yes in the box for "Lectureship also".
You need this lectureship to apply for Assistant Professors & Associate Professors in government medical colleges.
Your pay packet at end of the first month itself will be about Rs.
