Yes, you do need to take the NEET exam for pursuing both BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) and BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery) courses in India.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. It's the single entrance exam for admission to various undergraduate medical courses, including:

  • MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)
  • BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
  • BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery)
  • BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

No, you definitely don't need to prepare both the BAMS and BHMS syllabus for AIAPGET. The AIAPGET exam is designed specifically for graduates of Ayurveda (BAMS) or Homeopathy (BHMS).

Skip the BAMS syllabus if you're a BHMS graduation for AIAPGET, and vice versa. The exam focuses on your specific medical system (BAMS or BHMS) and its core principles, not both.
