Hello Megha, it's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your ME in genetic engineering after your B.Sc. In biotechnology. You need to do your M.Sc. First before you become eligible to appear for GATE the entrance exam for admissions to M.Tech. Presently this subject is one of the top choices of students since there appears to be lit of potential for landing a good job. Best wishes to you.

As as the JEE Main eligibility criteria for B. Tech admissions, The Candidate should have passed qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject. So for NIT Raipur you have to choose Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Biology/ Chemistry.
