From a career perspective, microbiology offers much more specialised and focused opportunities. Even after graduation in microbiology, you can opt for a range of further specialisations which can offer you research opportunities in food, medicine and other biosciences. After microbiology, you can get good job opportunities as well as can start your own venture in biotechnology field.

Yes, you are eligible to get admission into IPU B.Tech Biotech without having Maths in 12th. For pursuing B.Tech in Biotech, there is no need to have Maths in 12th.

After B.Sc Biotech, M.Sc in Agri is good because many private companies give you jobs in sales and marketing. Also, if you work in the government sector, you can get the job but you need to prepare for the same.

If we talk about M.Sc. Agriculture, first, you need to check if the university is accepting Biotech or not. Then talking about career with M.Sc. Agriculture and Ph.D., later on, you have a bright career in government and private universities as well as companies. But with Just M.Sc., you will get mostly sales profile jobs. For M.Sc. biotech, if you take admission in top universities like Lovely Professional University Punjab and Amity University Noida, then your placement prospects are good, otherwise, in the private sector, it will be difficult.

So, if you are entering this field be prepared to study or work till PhD to ensure a decent job. While doing PhD you get a fellowship of around INR 25,000 per month which is good enough for a single person to survive.
