Devashish, both are fine. If you are very good with maths go for engineering and if you're better off with words then look at Media related careers. There are several careers in media in writing, production or post production. you can become a reporter, actor or getting behind the camera to direct, cinematograph or do finishing work as an editor, compositor or a VFX artist who can add reality to 3D vizualizations. you may even be a graphic artist who designs the screens, or an animator who brings stories to life as a proxy actor for onscreen characters. you can get into production, whether live or animated. You can be a story writer who writes for live and animated screens or even roll the story into a video/ pc game. you can be a script writer who would stop at nothing to give wonderful scene setups to bring the story to life. you could be an artist who designs characters or who storyboards the film for live or animated performance. you can also double up as a voice over artist who gives his/ her voice to the characters or dub for movie stars, or even be a radio star. you can alternatively look at web for a web of careers in web design, online marketing, search engine optimization, content writing, social media promoting. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world & hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers. Their is no minimum marks as such required for admission in colleges under IP. The admission to various colleges are done on the basis of rank through online counseling. As to get good college your rank must fall under 500.
You can also contact the institutes officials to know the last closing rank in both the colleges for admission in BJMC.
If you prepare nicely for your IPU CET exam you may easily get these colleges.
As it will be difficult to provide best institutes, as the definition of best varies from person to person depending on various parameters.
