There are different entrance exams for different colleges. The books that you can refer are listed below:
- Success Master: Journalism & Mass Communication Entrance Examinations 2016 - Useful for the basic knowledge of the media, media related aspects, and general knowledge.
- Manorama Yearbook 2016 - Useful for current affairs, and general knowledge.
Also, follow the newspapers (particularly Times of India & the Hindu) to stay updated on the latest news, and current affairs.
- Keep your knowledge of Hollywood and Bollywood up-to-date, refer to websites such as IMDB. Look at matters such as Oscars and Grammy Awards.
- Famous television chan

Both B.Tech and BJMC are different from each other. In B.Tech you can only opt for technical jobs, but in BJMC, job opportunities are present in abundance.
