A pass in second-year pre-university or Class 12 or equivalent examination held preceding the entrance test with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics with at least 45% aggregate in optional subjects. A pass in BE/ BTech with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) is required to apply for MTech course. Candidates who have studied and passed one of the subjects specified in the first proviso in the pre-university course with 50% marks in that subject, shall also be eligible. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

A pass in bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST). Candidates with not less than 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST) with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Programming or Computer Applications or Business Statistics as optional or electives is required to apply for MCA. Candidates who have studied and passed one of the specified subjects in the pre-University course with 50% marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission.
