English board exam patterns typically comprise sections on Reading Comprehension (unseen passages), Writing Skills (letters, articles, reports, notices, emails, paragraph/analytical writing), Grammar (tenses, modals, subject-verb concord, reported speech, transformations), and Literature (textbook-based questions, extract-based questions, long and short answers assessing interpretation, analysis, and critical thinking). The overall paper is usually 80 marks (theory) with 20 marks for internal assessment. Competency-based questions are increasingly emphasized.

No, you usually do not need to repeat the 10th grade just because you missed the practical exams but it depends on your education board (cbse, icse, state board etc.) and why missed them.
Usually teachers can give you marks in practical exam even if you don't appear in it or you can give the medical certificate for why you didn't appear in practical exam.
