The total marks in the BSEB Class 12 exam are 500. Bihar Board 12th exams are held for a total of five subjects. Hence, the result is prepared for the 500 marks only. Each paper of the exam consists of 100 marks. On the other hand, in some papers, theory exams are held for a total of 70 marks while practical exams are held for a total of 30 marks. These subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Home Science, Psychology, etc.

After dowloading the BSEB Intermediate result score card, the students must check all the details prescribed on it. In case you find any error on your Bihar Board Class 12 result mark sheet, contact your school or the BSEB office immediately. You may be required to apply for re-evaluation or re-checking of your Bihar Board 12th answer sheets within the given timeline. The board will then make required correction on it.

No, the BSEB class 12 roll number is mandatory to check the BSEB Intermediate result. Hence, the students must keep their BSEB 12th roll number ready before checking the Class 12 result 2026 BSEB. If any student has lost his/her roll number, he/she must ask their school authority or contact the BSEB office for assistance. Result can be checked only after providing the BSEB 12th roll number.

After appearing for the BSEB Inter exams, the students are suggested to keep their admit card safe. The students will require the details mentioned on their BSEB 12th admit card 2026 to check their result. Its okay if you have the photocopies of your BSEB Inter admit card and lost the original one.
However, candidates are always advised to keep the documents like BSEB Class 12 admit card 2026 secured till the announcement of results.

To pass the Bihar Board Inter exams, students must score a minimum of 30% marks in each subject in the theory paper. On the other hand, the they are required to score at least 40% marks in practicals. Those who fails in one or two subjects will be marked fail. However, the board conduct compartmental exams for such students. Students who are short in any subject by just one or two marks are given grace marks to clear the exam.

Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Class 12th top 20 percent cutoff marks in 2024 vary by category and are used as eligibility criteria for admission in institutions like IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs etc. Though specific cutoff percentage is not shared publicly in detail, candidates with less than 75% still top 20 percent rules can qualify under if they fill their Board cutoff.
If your percentile is below 75%, you can apply for an official certificate from BSEB stating that you have been included in the top 20 percent. This form will be required for organizations that use this standard for recruitment.
