Usha Martin University has reserved a total of 50% seats for general category students. Admissions to these seats are made based on merit in the qualifying examination. The rest of the 50% of seats are reserved for various other categories. Admissions to these seats are based on rules of reservation.

Admissions to UMU BTech courses are made based on scores obtained in the entrance test. However, the allocation of seats is subject to rules of reservation. According to the UMU seat reservation policy, a total of 50% of seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Out of this 36%, 26 percent seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes. 10% of seats are reserved for the Scheduled Tribe candidates. The rest of the 14% seats are reserved for students of Other Backward Classes.

Yes, Usha Martin University offers scholarships to students of Jharkhand seeking admission to its BTech courses. The university provides Domicile-based scholarships to students having a domicile of Jharkhand. Such students are awarded with 10% scholarship. Such students must provide a domicile of Jharkhand while filling out the application form. Moreover, students who are eligible for merit-based scholarships, can not avail domicile based scholarship.

Yes, Usha Martin University awards various scholarships based on merit in entrance test. These scholarships are provided based on scores in JEE Main. Following is a list of merit-based scholarships and their eligibility criteria:
Merit-Based Scholarships
- 100% scholarship for male students scoring above 95% marks in the qualifying examination
- 50% scholarship for male students with marks between 90%-95% in the qualifying examination
- All female students scoring more than 90% marks in the qualifying exams will be eligible for a 50% scholarship
- All female students with 80% and 90% marks, will be eligible for 20% scholarships

For B.Tech at Accurate Group of Institutions, candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate. The admission procedure is through JEE Main rank and then through the UPTAC counseling with different cutoff ranks for different categories like Home State and All India. The total course fee is Rs. 4,75,000 which should be repaid in four equal installments.

Usha Martin University offers a four UG-level BTech program. The programme is spread across various specialisations for students to choose from. These specialisations include Computer Science, Mechanical, AI, Mining engineering, Cyber Security, and Civil.
The course duration for each course remains the same but the course fees vary. Apart from these, the university offer distinct courses for students seeking lateral entry to the program. The students interested in lateral entry would have to select courses with the abbreviation LE.
