No, candidates cannot get admission in the BTech course at Hooghly Engineering and Technology College with their CUET scores. The college does not accept CUET scores for admission in the course. Candidates must appear for the JEE Main/ WBJEE exam for the same. Additionally, candidates must ensure fulfilling the eligibility criteria for BTech before applying for admission in Hooghly Engineering and Technology College.

Yes, a candidate can get admission in Hooghly Engineering and Technology College with 60% in Class 12. The minimum required aggregate for BTech admission is 45% (35% for reserved category). Though, candidates must submit the marksheets and certificate of Class 12 to apply for and confirm admission in the college.

Candidates are selected for BTech course at Hooghly Engineering and Technology College, on the basis of their scores in certaim national and state-level entrance exams for the Engineering domain. These include- JEE Mains and WBJEE. Candidates must appear for either of these exams followed by the counselling process to take admission in the BTech course at Hooghly Engineering and Technology College.

AITAM accepts scorecards of JEE Main, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, and Andhra Pradesh ECET for BTech admission. Candidates must register on the respective entrance exam portal, appear for the test, and then apply to AITAM with a valid scorecard. Students are advised to keep themselves updated with the latest dates of these entrance tests.

It is worth doing BTech from Dhirubhai Ambani University. In terms of placements, highest and average package received in 2026 was 57 LPA and 14.36 LPA. Earlier, as per audited placement report, all participating BTech students were placed in 2024.

AITAM BTech fees include tuition fees, admission charges, and examination fees. If students opt for hostel accommodation, hostel charges are also added to the overall cost. The tuition fee is paid in installments. Admission chrages is paid only once. Whereas, examination fees depends on the number of semesters in the programme.

AITAM BTech programme seat intake is as follows: BTech in Computer Science and Engineering has the highest intake with 360 seats. Following that, 300 seats are offered in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Information Technology each have 120 seats.
