The admission process to the B.Tech course offered at R.V.S College of Engineering and Technology is simply based on merit. The candidates are chosen on the basis of their class 12 results or the pass score of the admissions tests given. It does not need to have a separate institutional test. The seat allotment is final taking into account eligibility and verification of documents.

R.V.S College of Engineering and Technology provides a BTech in six specialisations such as Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering.
