XIMB Bhubaneswar cut off 2024 has been concluded for admission to the MBA course. The cutoff was released on the basis of candidates performance in the CAT/XAT exams. The cutoff percentile for admission to the college through CAT was 91, among the General AI category candidates. For admission through XAT exam, the closing percentile in the last round among the General AI category was 80.

CAT is a computer based test (CBT), which has 3 sections:
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Quantitative Ability (QA)
Plus, each section has specific time limit and candidates cannot witch between sections during the allotted time. The questions in CAT are MCQ and non-MCQ (Type in the Answer ot TITA).
The total duration for exam is 120 minutes, with 40 minutes alloted to each section and the total number of questions are 68 which is subject to vary.
Marking scheme:
- +3 for correct answer
- -1 for each incorrect answer
- no negative marking for TITA questions

The fundamental requirement is bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management field or the relevant field, from a recognised university. That means students from Business Administrative, Arts, and Science field can also apply. Some reputed and government colleges like IIMs can ask for entrance test qualification such as CAT, XAT or MAT. Moreover, some colleges can also ask for work experience of minimum 2-3 years.
