The two most important National level entrance exams that are conducted for MBA course are CAT and CMAT. CAT is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, whereas, CMAT is conducted by the National Testing Agency.

CAT exam is specifically for taking admission into IIM whereas CMAT exam is considered in any other private or autonomous University. CAT exam is comparatively more difficult than CMAT. The minimum cut off in order to clear CAT exam is 90 to 95 percentile. For CMAT exam also the minimum percentile is 80 to 90 percentile, but for some private universities it can be as low as 25 to 30 percentile.

BCA being more of a technical course has more demand in the job market than BBA.BBA has its own advantages like banking jobs / LL.B / M.B.A.

A lot depends on your interest .If business / accounts interests you pursue  BBA and try to get into top MBA college or pursue BCA.

I will suggest you to explore about -

It's difficult to get into the Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) MBA programme with a 56 percentile in the CAT. The competition is high because about 15% of seats are filled by the All India Quota through the CAT exam. A 56 percentile is considered relatively low.

The 2023 cutoff for the MAHCET at GNIMS is 90.74 percentile. The 2023 cutoff for MAT at GNIMS is 59 percentile.

The admission process at GNIMS is primarily based on entrance tests. The admission season generally begins in June-July every year
