- Educational Qualification: A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university approved by AICTE. Some speciallisation course may specify a minimum percentage or GPA.
- Entrance Exam: entrance exam accepted here are
- CAT
- MAT
- CMAT
3.Interview: a personal interview/Group disscussion is made done by the selection committee.
4. Essay: a round which includes the purpose of admission to be written in a form of essay in 15 mins is also conducted.

For IBI admissions, all applicants should first pre-qualify through I Business Institute (IBI) prescribed tests. As such all applicants taking the CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ XAT examination, achieving high percentile score are considered for selection for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program. This attainment is considered as pre-qualification for stage - II selection procedure of I Business Institute. All candidates clearing the pre- qualifying test are also required to go through IBI’s Admission Selection Process. The cut-off is 50 percentile. However, IBI conduct a day-long Personality Profiling Exercise including Group Discussion and Personal Interview for levelling various factors of selection standard. Based on performance in all these tests, Academic achievements and Work Experience, cut-off for IBI admission is determined.

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course is at least a 3-year Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% aggregate in Class10, 12and graduation in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE as eligible for Post Graduate Studies. Candidates in the final year of a Bachelor's degree course or equivalent are also eligible to apply. However they are required to furnish the proof of Graduation before AICTE deadline.
