Capital University eligibility criteria differs as per the course selected by the candidate. The basic eligibility requirement is Class 12 for UG courses and graduation for PG programme. Below is the eligibility criteria for top CU courses:

| BCom | Class 12 in Commerce stream with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST) |
| MCom | BCom/ BCom (Hons)/ BBA with at least 50% aggregate or MA/ MSc with Economics/ Statistics/ Mathematics with at least 50% aggregate |
| BCA | Class 12 in any stream with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST) |

Aspirants must pass graduation in any stream with at least 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for Capital University MBA programme. Candidates must also qualify CAT, MAT or CMAT for admission to MBA course. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.
