You don't need to apply for both the forms.
Since you have got a compartment you are requested to repeat the test and no improvement form need to be submitted.
You just apply for RT that is enough because you need to clear the compartment and then if you clear so you can go for improvement in next year.

Choosing a subject for CUET depends on the course you want to pursue. If the course does not require Physics then you can skip it. However, if the course requirement is Physics, you should not skip it, as it would be difficult for you to get admission to the specific course.
